In this role you will be a part of the Sports Strategy & BD team driving growth across all Sports properties. This role demands a mix of strategic thinking, market insight, and operational sharpness. From evaluating rights and structuring deals to enabling data-led decisions and unlocking new opportunities, you will help shape how Sports is built, scaled, and monetised at JioStar.

Key Responsibilities

    • Strategy & BD
    • Collaborate closely with revenue, content & analytics teams to enable data based decision making.
    • Leverage performance and viewership data to derive insights that can guide strategic thinking and partner alignment.
    • Constantly scan the market for emerging opportunities, revenue streams and shifts in landscape.
    • Rights Acquisitions
    • Support the development of business cases and evaluation models for rights acquisitions and monetisation.Engage with licensors, agencies and rights holders to support commercial evaluations, deal structuring, negotiations and closure of acquisitions.
    • Regular and ongoing market analysis, to enable business decisions. Track and evaluate market, landscape, competition and rights that impact business.
    • Partnership & Rights Management
    • Post-acquisition, coordinate internal workflows across legal, finance, content, marketing, ops, etc., to ensure seamless onboarding and delivery.
    • Monitor delivery of rights to ensure compliance with contractual obligations around broadcast, marketing and commercial commitments.
    • Work closely with licensors to maximise commercial value for the business, through a thorough understanding of our Rights agreements.
    • Work closely with specific strategic partners to enable scalability and growth over time.

Preferred Experience

    • 6–8 years  of relevant experience across consulting, content partnerships, media rights or strategy roles within the sports/media ecosystem.
    • Preferred background includes experience with consulting firms, sports federations/teams, broadcasters or sports marketing agencies.
    • Ability to communicate complex information clearly, build relationships and influence senior stakeholders across internal and external teams
    • Strong program management, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Prior experience in structuring and closing commercial deals and managing contractual documentation.
    • Familiarity with the sports media rights landscape would be an advantage.
