Role Overview
The role involves driving consumer and growth -building initiatives, along with forging strategic alliances and managing public relations, to enhance the reach and penetration of Jiostar Channels.
 
Key Responsibilities
·       Collaborate to develop innovative strategies that transition consumers from FTA and DA to the Pay TV ecosystem.
·       Drive awareness for initiatives, track intention-to-purchase scores, generate leads, grow subscriptions, and monitor positive shifts in market or consumer behaviour.
·       Plan & implement subscriber building initiatives tailored to meet the challenges of specific markets.
·       Prepare and maintain dashboards on region wise channel and pack penetration for key affiliates to thereby device customised strategies and approaches for unlocking growth potential.
·       Define and track key funnel metrics across the marketing funnel — Cost per subscriber, Media evaluation on partner platforms, penetration and reach, cost to conversion, revenue increase on VAS, share of voice — to evaluate effectiveness of growth initiatives across VAS, DA to RA, and FTA to Pay TV.
·       Regularly review performance KPIs such as subscription growth, penetration rates, engagement, and churn across services and platforms and partner with sales and strategy teams to develop test-and-learn models for new interventions and optimize ROI.
·       Boost subscriber numbers for VAS products such as Bollywood Premier, Star Plus Super Hit Serials, Regional Movie Services, and 4K.
·       Collaborate with distribution partners to grow revenue and subscriptions for existing VAS services through end-to-end, ROI-driven go-to-market (GTM) strategies and innovative demand-generation initiatives.
·       Work closely with sales and strategy teams to identify and onboard new clients and content partners for launching differentiated VAS offerings, aligned with evolving consumer preferences and market whitespace.
·       Lead publicity initiatives to support growth agendas, including Pay TV transition and VAS launches, across PR, trade, and owned media
·       Lead creative and communication development to drive key growth objectives including DA to RA upgrades, FTA to Pay TV transition, and CPS penetration.
·       Act as a key point of contact for distribution partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination, timely delivery of assets, and alignment on campaign objectives.
·       Understand partner needs, co-create marketing solutions, and proactively address challenges to strengthen relationships and drive mutual business growth.
·       Aid in consumer activation activities & marketing solutions for business growth
·       Lead and manage end-to-end vendor coordination, including financial processes, legal documentation, and commercial negotiations to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
·       Drive initiatives that expand the Pay TV customer base and increase VAS subscriptions along with the below mentioned growth Initiatives:
·       VAS (Regional Movies, Bollywood Premier, 4K, Super Hit Serials)
·       FTA to Pay TV
·       DA to RA
·       CPS
·       CRM

Qualifications and Experience:
·       MBA/ PG from Tier I institute, with min 3 to 5 years of experience.
·       3+ years of experience in strategic brand management & Product Line Management
·       Excellent understanding of brand communication development and strong project management skills
·       Ability to draft creative briefs and prepare comprehensive marketing proposition
·       Adept at translating consumer insights into impactful growth strategies and creative ideas that resonate with target audiences.
·       Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data dashboards, with strong number-crunching skills for business and marketing analysis.
·       Strong client servicing and relationship management skills with the ability to understand partner needs, provide strategic solutions, and ensure timely execution.
·       Proactive stakeholder communication and expectation management across internal teams, sales, creative, and external distribution or content partners.
