We are seeking a driven, detail oriented and analytically sharp Ad Sales Assistant Manager to drive data management and strategic insights across Cricket and Premium Sports. In this role, you will maintain critical tools, deliver actionable insights across Sales and Strategy teams, and support revenue strategy through robust data analysis and insights. The position requires strong sales acumen, organizational skills, knowledge of the advertising ecosystem/media analytics, and the ability to translate client needs into successful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Track industry trends across major verticals contributing to India’s media landscape (LTV, Print and Digital).
- Maintain and update the revenue Master and asset repositories ensuring high accuracy within tight deadlines.
- Generate insights on future media spends and asset allocation of the top 200 advertisers across LTV, Digital, Print, and other mediums.
- Estimate client-wise advertising spends for different sporting events by analyzing sports affinity, seasonality, annual budgets, category competitiveness, and overall growth trajectory.
- Maintain and update an intelligence tracker on competing platforms and channels — including YouTube, Meta, OTT platforms, and sports/entertainment TV channels — to derive actionable insights.
- Provide focused intelligence on both the start-up ecosystem and traditional industries, highlighting their implications on advertising spends in India, particularly within the sports advertising context.
Skills & Attributes for success
- Proficiency in handling large volumes of data across multiple sources (e.g. TAM, BARC, Ad server, etc.) along with high degree of comfort with MS Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and strategic narratives.
- Strong strategic thinking, research orientation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities with sharp business acumen.
- Interest in media, advertising, and sports (preferred).
- High attention to detail, curiosity-driven, and proactive mindset/media advertising industry will be an added advantage.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or Media Studies (MBA preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience in market research, strategy, insights, or analytics within the media, advertising, or consulting domains.
- Demonstrated experience in building client or market intelligence frameworks.
- Exposure to the sports/media advertising industry will be an added advantage.
