This role is part of the Programming Strategy & Insights team for the Hindi Movies cluster. The incumbent will use data-backed insights and viewer preferences to shape content scheduling decisions and maximize channel performance through strategic planning.

The Programming Strategy & Insights team analyzes audience trends and preferences to optimize the content strategy and scheduling for the Hindi Movies channels. The team is responsible for generating and maintaining the FPC via RMS, tracking performance, and aligning programming with broader business and audience goals.

Key Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain a strategic movie and promo plan, aligned to viewer preferences, seasonal trends, and channel priorities.
    • Create and update the FPC using RMS, ensuring timely scheduling of titles to drive reach and ratings.
    • Analyze viewership data (BARC and other sources) to identify performance patterns and optimize scheduling.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, OAP, Sales, and Operations to ensure programming aligns with business objectives.
    • Monitor competitor schedules and viewer behavior to spot opportunities and mitigate risks.
    • Evaluate program performance using ratings and feedback to improve future planning.
    • lan for World TV Premieres, festival specials, and themed stunts to capture audience attention.

Skills & Attributes for Success

    • Strong consumer understanding and genuine curiosity about audience behaviour
    • Passion for Hindi cinema and interest in content curation
    • Working knowledge of South Indian cinema, especially Tamil and Telugu titles, is a strong plus
    • Solid analytical skills and ability to interpret data into actionable insights
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
    • Understanding of BARC metrics and RMS tools
    • Ability to work with large volumes of data and deliver under tight timelines
    • Good communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Education & Experience

    • Postgraduate degree in Media, Marketing, or Management
    • 2–4 years of experience in content strategy, programming, media planning, or research in the media & entertainment sector preferred
