As an Associate Director - Analytics, you'll lead a high-impact team shaping the way India consumes entertainment. Through deep content insights, audience intelligence, and behavioral analytics, you'll drive strategy that powers smarter programming and content-buying decisions. ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Central Analytics team is embedded within various business & product teams in a matrix structure to be a thought partner and provide comprehensive data insights to drive strategic decisions. This team is the strategic enabler for JioHotstar’s content and marketing functions. In a world where consumers have endless entertainment choices, we help decode how they spend their time and why. At the core, we analyze consumer behavior, content preferences, and evolving entertainment needs. We design and leverage experiments, apply GenAI for innovative problem-solving, and build analytical frameworks that guide key decisions. Our goal: to keep teams sharp, informed, and focused on the KPIs and drivers that truly matter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical framework to solve business / product problems and integrate across various downstream teams or projects
- Drive innovation through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques
- Provide actionable insights through strategic thinking based on data and metrics that influence business / product related decisions
- Develop business intuition, formulate hypotheses, conduct A/B testing, and leverage data to scale product initiatives
- Analyse large datasets to identify growth opportunities across various user funnel stages Lead and mentor a team of analysts and foster a positive team culture
- Collaborate with various teams to drive adoption and efficiency
- Oversee data reporting infrastructure, ensuring robust data systems, accurate instrumentation, and effective visualization tools
- Stay updated and implement solutions based on latest industry trends and technologies
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Strong business acumen and effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in data modeling, statistical modeling techniques, and programming languages (R, SQL, Python)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data pipelines, and data modeling techniques
- Experience with distributed analytic processing technologies (e.g., Hive) is preferred
- Develop agile processes for efficient delivery of data, information, and analyses to the business Strong leadership and people management skills
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Operational Research, or Mathematics. 14-16 years of experience including people management role within Data Science & Analytics, preferably from consumer technology companies.
