JOB SUMMARY:
As an Assistant Manager - Analytics, you'll be responsible for driving data-driven projects, designing complex data solutions, providing valuable insights to stakeholders and contributing to the growth of our Ads product and business metrics.
Through deep insights on Ads core product, large-scale experimentation on Adtech innovation, demand-supply forecasting, you will be driving growth of our Ads product and a very complex Ads Entertainment business.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Central Analytics team is embedded within various business & product teams in a matrix structure to be a thought partner and provide comprehensive data insights to drive strategic decisions. This team is the strategic enabler for JioHotstar’s Ads business and product functions. In a world where consumers have endless entertainment choices, we help decode who they are, what they like and how they are relevant to JioHotstar Advertisers. At the core, we analyze consumer experience, consumer supply, advertisers demand, and our Ad serving capabilities to achieve goals (KPIs) across Ads product, Advertisers objectives, and Entertainment business planning. We design and leverage experiments, apply GenAI for innovative problem-solving, and build analytical frameworks that guide key decisions. Our goal: to keep teams sharp, informed, and focused on the KPIs and drivers that truly matter.
REPORTING TO: Manager - Product Analytics
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply the analytics knowledge/skills in problem-solving and deliver actionable insights
- Generate and deliver quality data insights by creating reports, dashboards, and structured documented formats or summaries using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics platforms
- Develop a deep understanding of the data platform, technology stack, and ETL processes to ensure accurate analysis and reporting
- Utilize statistical techniques to validate findings and draw meaningful conclusions
- Communicate complex data concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities, support strategic decisions, and drive growth through predictive modeling and analysis
- Manage projects end-to-end, write efficient queries, and optimize performance through A/B testing and solution design
- Contribute data-driven insights in experiments and help build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Demonstrate expertise in predictive analysis, with a strong command of R, SQL, Python, Pyspark
- Familiarity with working with big data platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is preferred
- Experience in dashboard building and data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a strong plus
- Possess advanced technical skills and the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate information accurately
- Familiar with digital analytics and clickstream data
- Strong communicator with the ability to present complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for the entertainment industry and a strong understanding of online video streaming platforms (a plus)
- Experience in Adtech and OTT platforms is preferred
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, Physics, or a related technical discipline, with 4-6 years of experience in Business/Product Analytics, preferably from consumer technology companies
