The Lead Electronic Technician III supports the manufacturing organization by performing alignment, troubleshooting, and characterization of RF circuits. This role involves executing test plans, troubleshooting high-density component RF circuitry, and generating accurate test data for internal and external use. The technician sets up standard or automated test equipment to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototype or production assemblies. They analyze test results and repair or adjust assemblies according to the analysis. Additionally, they recommend corrections and improvements to test procedures to simplify testing and assembly processes. The Lead Electronic Technician III will be based out of our Syracuse, NY facility.

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct tests to measure the performance of production electronic systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
    • Compare test results with specifications and accurately record test data. ▪ Analyze defective units to determine the root cause of failure.
    • Help develop processes, tooling, and fixtures as required.
    • Ensure that all test equipment calibration requirements are maintained.
    • Effectively manage time and complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Anticipating and solving problems promptly and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Train Electronic 1 and 2 technicians 

Requirements:

    • Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshooting down to the component level.
    • Certification in advanced Solder Training.
    • Solid understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Data Error Analyzers, RF generators, PIM Analyzers etc.
    • Strong component-level troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience in performing various RF characterization measurements such as Phase, Magnitude, PIM, RL, and ISO.
    • Experience in alignment and troubleshooting of various RF circuits such as Modulators, RF amplifiers, Diplexers, Filters, Oscillators, Synthesizers, Radiating Elements etc.
    • RF experience to 6 GHz troubleshooting skills is desired.
    • Knowledge of electrical test methodology (e.g., stand-alone bench, automated, functional test), planning, procedures, equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, bus analyzer, automated test systems) and result validation criteria (e.g., pass/fail, control limits, tolerances).
    • Knowledge of manufacturing workflow and MRP systems or similar.
    • Knowledge of Kaelus or Rosenberger Passive Intermodulation Test Systems.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
    • The ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
    • Excellent organization, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
    • Lean manufacturing experience is required.
    • Computer- Microsoft Office suite, email, work order system, SAP
    • Must be able to lift to 40 pounds.
    • In-depth knowledge or specialization in 5G antenna production technologies.
    • Advanced proficiency in state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
    • Proven skills in change management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    • Strong capability for cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
$20 - $27 an hour
The US national annual hourly rate for this role is $20-$27 per hour. The range includes the hourly rate that is expected to be paid for this role. The actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the of scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
