Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician for JMA Wireless, you will actively participate in the antenna development and support of defined goals while using software package/development tools to analyze antenna performance and document data to present to design engineers.


    • Responsible for running and maintaining the LDS 964, 18,000 lbs. vibration shaker table
    • Use the Vibration View software to program and control vibration tests, as well as document the tests through detailed reports
    • Maintain a schedule for the various tests that need to be performed on the vibration shaker. Schedule will be in line with organizational goals
    • Perform thermal testing on antennas and sub-assemblies in designated thermal chambers to validate antenna designs
    • Perform electrical testing on antennas to validate the impact of the environmental tests on electrical performance. Network and Spectrum analyzers will be used to perform PIM and VSWR measurements
    • Document all environmental tests using standard report templates
    • Maintain and organize the Vibration lab to ensure all required tools and fixtures are stocked correctly
    • Build early feasibility as well as final RET mechanical prototypes; will also be responsible for testing RET prototypes under temperature cycling using the thermal chambers and RET testing software utility


    • Minimum of an AS or AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering technology or Mechanical/Mechanical Engineering
    • Have the equivalent of 2+ years of experience in an electronic R&D Laboratory/Test Environment
    • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
