JMA is looking for a Junior Technical Support RF Engineer to join our team in Bologna or Milan, Italy.

Position overview:
- The person in this role will be part of the technical support team, with members located in Italy.
- As Technical Support Engineer will work in advanced environment with 4G/5G vRAN systems, facing customer needs addressing product improvement and configuration.
- The Technical Support Engineer will interface with R&D developer teams, PLMs providing product feedback and customer to support them during the implementation optimization and configuration of systems for lab and field deployments.
- Support the Customer during the RF optimization process
- Advanced troubleshooting based on KPI
- Help and support development teams institute and understand best practices
- Provide remote and on-site technical support during installation and commissioning of JMA TEKO and XRAN systems
- The TS RF Engineer will be responsible for the analysis and troubleshooting of advanced layer 3 features of the baseband unit (BBU) for the 4G LTE eNodeB and the 5G NR gNodeB.
- Support, both remotely and on-site, the customer during the monitoring and the troubleshooting of the JMA TEKO and XRAN equipment platform
- Support training team when preparing courses about Installation and Commissioning
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Electronic, Telecommunication or IT Engineering
- Collaboration skills.
- A fundamental understanding of the main cellular technology standards, as 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G
- Basic knowledge of the principle KPI
- Basic knowledge of the RF propagation patterns
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Fluent Italian and English
Additional Experience and Knowledge as a Plus:
- Knowledge of the main Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the system performance during walk/drive test and remote support
- Experience with the principal measurement tools (spectrum analyzer, optical power meter), preferable for wireless mobile systems.
