Job Summary:

As a Production Manager - 1st Shift, with JMA Wireless, you will be responsible for our Antenna Production Line, leading a production team of 100+ multi-disciplinary associates.  You will work with area supervisors to ensure all antenna value streams are balances with the correct number of people to support the schedule.


    • Run morning Gemba meetings to ensure alignment between production, quality, warehouse, planning and engineering
    • Understand daily output targets and document reasons as to why we did or did not meet our goals
    • Monitor KPIs and put corrective actions in place when metrics are missed
    • Report out KPIs monthly to upper management
    • Cross train employees and keep detailed training matrix data
    • Understand where bottles necks are through data analysis and put corrective actions in place to improve efficiency.
    • Work collaboratively with manufacturing and design engineering to drive efficiency improvements.
    • Work with planning and the WH to optimize material flow through the value stream
    • Establish good handoff process between New Product Introduction team and production
    • Work with quality to understand yields and put corrective action in place to improve first pass yield.
    • Develop systematic ways to track rework data; analyze pareto charts to understand top contributors to failing antennas
    • Work with finance team to understand labor utilization and drive improvements through data analysis


    • 5+ years of production management experience; a background in engineering, business, or product line management preferred
    • Statistical analysis knowledge; familiar with excel pivot table reporting and/or Minitab
    • Green belt in LEAN Management and knowledge of value stream mapping and single piece flow is nice to have
    • Excellent organization, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
    • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills and high organizational skills
    • A strong systems knowledge with ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • Strong knowledge in standard software applications, with strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access Database
    • Experience in manufacturing, production environment setting with ERP data collection and reporting knowledge
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and perform under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to identify issues pre-emptively as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions
