The BBU QA Engineer will be based out of the JMA Bengaluru, India location.

Responsibilities:

    • The BBU QA Engineer will provide Engineering experience to the BBU (Baseband Unit) QA Engineering team for 4G and 5G solutions.
    • Will work independently of 5G/4G complex features.
    • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive tests to validate new features and identify product defects.
    • Generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external consumption.
    • Participate in agile scrum to inject quality into the entire BBU product lines.
    • Report, track, and manage any discovered defects to resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 8 + years of experience in system , functional and performance testing for 5G/4G Gnodeb’s and Enodeb’s
    • Should have a good understanding on 5G-SA/5G-NSA(FR1/FR2)/4G/4G-A technologies.
    • Should have a good knowledge on 3GPP specification (36 / 38 series ) until Release 16. Experience on Rel 17 will add advantage
    • Handson working experience with stack layers like NAS, RRC, PDCP , RLC, MAC, PHY , should able to debug issues independently
    • Should be expert in writing test plans and executing functional features and regression cycle independently
    • Should have worked on features like , Carrier Aggregation, Scheduler, Link adaptation,  5G positioning , PNI NPN, Mobility, reselection , IRAT mobility and reselections, VONR, ENDC, NRDC etc.
    • In-depth testing of 5G features and finding defects in house
    • Should be good at simulating field issues inhouse to reproduce the issues faster
    • Should have hand on experience in Linux environments
    • Working Experience with UE simulators like TM500 , Prisma , Amarissoft, Simnovus

Additional Experience And Knowledge a Plus:

    • Experience in Channel Emulators like Keysight PropSim , Azimuth
    • Experience on Kubernetes and containerised environment
    • Experience in automation using python , robot framework
