Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Planner to create and manage a manufacturing plan for multiple areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to automation, hand lines, and other equipment, as well as assisting in management of new product introductions into manufacturing. This position will provide, manage and communicate ship dates and lead times to customer service based on the manufacturing and delivery plan of materials. This role will be responsible to work cross functionally with all operations teams to monitor inventory, align production, project requirements, and meet customer expectations of delivery and quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and manage a manufacturing plan based on forecast and customer orders utilizing SAP GIB Module to ensure maximum performance
- Release manufacturing orders based on Materials Requirement Planning system (MRP)
- Analyze and update MRP to ensure data is accurate and up to date
- Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Track and monitor inventory to support the schedule requirements
- Develop and execute a recovery plan for any shortages
- Assist in the release process of new product
- Oversee the workflow of the production facility
- Help to resolve SAP discrepancies and errors
- Execute material movement transactions where necessary (Reservations)
- Continuous improvements to SAP GIB for antenna planning with IT and system ops teams
- Review bookings daily and optimize manufacturing plans based on lead times and customer requirements
- Analyze and foresee potential obstacles and devise proactive strategies to mitigate risk
- Communicate with all departments about expedites, delays, or any changes to the schedule
- Review and understand drawings, deviations, and quality alerts and the impact to the product and schedule
- Interface with manufacturing facility and other departments and maintain a good working relationship
- Actively promote company core values, vision, and mission

Required Skills & Experience:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Technical or Supply Chain or related field required – experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or production scheduling for a manufacturing organization in an MRP environment, Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems required. (Oracle, SAP)
- Knowledge of global scheduling practices, supply chain, understanding of inventory best practices and Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in subcontract manufacturing planning or purchasing
- Exceptional computer skills and speed; SAP experience preferred
- 1+ years’ experience leading a team and/or department
- Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP or CPSM certification
- Knowledge and experience with Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SI&OP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups), Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while working with changing priorities and competing demands
- Ability to effectively present information, data, recommendations to all organizational levels
- Some travel required
$70,000 - $80,000 a year
The US annual base salary range for this is $70,000 - $80,000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
