We are looking for an experienced Hybrid People Advisor who will join our People and Culture team in Shirebrook. In this role, you will address various HR matters, including employee relations, performance and talent management. While primarily based on-site for our dedicated client, a portion of your responsibilities will involve supporting HR issues across the broader business in collaboration with another People Advisor. This hybrid position requires a minimum of two days on-site and the rest of the week working from home.

Role of a People Advisor:

    • Supporting the Employee Relations Manager through the provision of generalist, proactive support and advice on employee relations matters; such as absence management and disciplinary
    • Providing an efficient service for employees requiring guidance, help and advice in respect of Company policies and procedures and Employment legislation
    • Creating a positive employee relations approach; supporting, coaching and upskilling Managers to fulfill their people management responsibilities
    • Manage a complex caseload for disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, redundancy consultation and TUPE
    • Undertake relevant administration in relation to employee relation matters and maintain accurate and up to date records
    • Develop and review HR policies in line with current legislation, with guidance from senior colleagues
    • Supporting / holding regular HR Surgeries and People Forums
    • Assisting the Operations team and People Advisory team to support departments/teams through organisational change, engaging employees, and embedding new structures and processes
    • Keeping updated in specialist employment legislation knowledge to provide sound guidance and expertise to management
    • Identifying any gaps in knowledge with the operational team and implementing plans to correct this, to include coaching and training

As a People Advisor, you will need to have:

    • 4+ years of experience in a mid level HR role, ideally within a start-up or in a recruitment agency
    • Experience in advising on ER matters, recruitment and onboarding
    • Track record of independently managing an employee relations case load and being a key decision maker in those processes
    • Strong knowledge of Data Protection / GDPR.
    • Experience of working in a fast paced and demanding environment
    • Ability to prioritise a complex and varied workload
    • A strong communicator verbally and written is essential
    • Attention to detail
    • Confidence in building relationships at all levels.
    • Good analytical and systems skills
    • CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience
    • Experience of Warehousing is highly desirable
    • Proficiency in Polish language is desirable
    • Customer focused approach
