The Position
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist for our Data team to bring deep ML expertise and power us to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Work with product & engineering stakeholders to define & refine problems
- Build and deploy ML models in production with pragmatic tradeoffs between velocity & quality
- Measure and monitor performance of models in production
- Coach and elevate DS team members with best in class tools and techniques
- Identify future use cases and roadblocks and seek out solutions
You have
- At least 7 years of experience building and shipping ML models to production in tech / product companies
- Commercial impact on product / business metrics in collaboration with other roles (PM, design, engineering, etc)
- Experience working with Python based ML tech stack (pandas, polars, numpy, sklearn, etc) and feature stores
- Experience with data streams (Kafka), real time processing (Spark Streaming or Flink), and infra as code (Terraform)
- Knowledge about big data tools (SQL databases, Hive, Spark) in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid knowledge of building recommender (collaborative filtering, matrix factorization) or ranking systems (pointwise, pairwise or listwise) for at least 1 year
Nice if you also have
- Experience with Feast, worked with Scala
- Experience in coaching and upskilling team members in tools and techniques
- Experience in advocating for ML best practices with stakeholders or leadership
