The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled, organized, and self-motivated Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You’ll play a key role in building a modern, cloud-based, and scalable self-service data platform that supports decision-making across the organization. In this role you will take ownership of foundational components of our core data platform. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable analytics solutions. We’re committed to strong engineering practices: writing clean, secure, and well-tested code is a priority. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing company, with ample room for learning, ownership, and career growth.

Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade data sets using dbt to deliver trusted data to internal teams and customers.
    • Own and optimize data models in dbt that support self-service analytics, operational reporting, and BI.
    • Develop and maintain Looker explores, views, and dashboards, ensuring consistency between the semantic layer and the underlying dbt models.
    • Ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance by implementing robust testing, documentation, and version control standards.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including data engineering, product, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable data products.
    • Champion analytics engineering best practices across modeling, documentation, code review, and CI/CD automation.
    • Mentor junior analytics engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows, architecture, and data standards.
    • Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of data pipelines with alerting, automated testing, and observability tooling.
    • Act as a technical thought partner to stakeholders, translating complex data topics into actionable insights and clear communication.

Resuirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related software development experience
    • Expert-level SQL and strong hands-on experience with dbt for transforming and modeling data in the warehouse.
    • Deep experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
    • Deep understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, normalization/denormalization).
    • Strong understanding of data quality and testing frameworks within the analytics stack.
    • Solid understanding of Looker: building explores, LookML models, dashboards, and user-friendly semantic layers.
    • Proficiency with DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles, using tools like Git, dbt Cloud/CLI, and CI/CD pipelines to manage analytics workflows.
    • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control, modular design, documentation, and testing strategies

Nice to have:

    • Experience orchestrating workflows with Airflow, or similar tools.
    • Proficiency in Python for data transformation or automation tasks.
    • Exposure to data governance, privacy, or compliance frameworks.
    • Experience in Looker administration.
    • Background in mentoring or leading other analytics engineers or analysts.
