We are looking for a smart, driven, enthusiastic Full Stack Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of job search tools for our B2B customers. You’ll join our engineering team, delivering new features and improving existing tools for our business and university user base. You’ll use modern and proven technologies to help us exceed our user’s expectations and scale our tools to an increasingly global audience, working in a fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing
- Maintain our B2B specific offerings including bug fixes and enhancements.
- Work closely with B2B, marketing, and product teams to understand the future business direction with the goal of architecting the platform optimally for extensibility and feature delivery.
- Be willing to join B2B Customer Care team members or (more rarely) B2B Sales Personnel on calls with Enterprise customers who have technical issues or questions. These calls will be rare, only when our existing customer support teams are unable to answer questions the customer/potential customer
- Be a positive influence on the team participating in code reviews, collaborating with other developers, and ensuring adherence to coding and testing standards.
- Add and improve our test coverage in our end-to-end, integration, and unit test suites.
- Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to web technologies, cloud computing, machine learning (ML), and automated unit testing.
What you'll need
- 6+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development experience on a customer-facing web application.
- A positive attitude and low ego.
- Experience with modern Javascript Frontend framework (such as React, Next.js, Vue.js, Svelte, or AngularJS)
- Experience with PHP based systems written in a modern framework (such as Symfony, Laravel, or Drupal)
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
- Experience working with and creating REST web services and APIs.
- Strong computer science and web fundamentals, knowledge of design patterns.
What would be nice to have
- Direct experience with Laravel preferred.
- Direct experience with Vue.js framework.
- Experience with creating Browser Extensions (Chrome, Firefox)Experience with Java and/or Python.
- Experience with cloud architecture, preferably AWS, using technologies like EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
- Experience with containerized infrastructure based on Docker.
- Experience with ML (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)Experience with NLP (NLTK, SpaCy, CoreNLP, etc.)
$151,000 - $165,000 a year
