Clubhouse is a new type of social product based on voice. It allows people everywhere to talk, tell stories, develop ideas, deepen friendships, and meet interesting new people around the world.
We launched in private beta a few months ago, and the response has been very exciting. Our early users love the product and we have been featured in publications like The New York Times, Forbes, The Telegraph, TechCrunch, The Information, CNBC, and WIRED — as well as a huge range of thoughtful blog posts.
Today, we are a small and productive team with a strong background in consumer products. We studied engineering at Stanford, built early products at Google and Pinterest, and have founded and sold multiple venture-backed startups. We are well funded, with recent backing from top-tier VCs and many of the best angel investors in Silicon Valley.
As we look towards a broader release of Clubhouse, we are seeking to add a few extraordinary people to our growing team, in both part-time and full-time roles. If you think you would be a good fit, please let us know!🙏

You’re passionate about building safe spaces for everyone. You have a passion for trust and safety in online communities and believe spaces should be safe for everyone. You’re excited to help build policies, processes, and systems with the health of Clubhouse users and communities as the north star.
You’ve tackled trust and safety challenges first-hand. Whether you’ve been a trust and safety analyst at a consumer tech company, moderated content for diverse digital communities, or exceled in another fast-paced operational role, you’ve had experience prioritizing user safety at an individual, community, and network level. You thrive at grasping complex situations, making tough calls, and taking action.
You understand people, emotions and social products. You consider how content and policies make people think, feel, and act, considering diverse audiences. You’re knowledgeable about social networks but excited to look at things from a fresh perspective and think through the nuances and challenges of real-time audio.
You’re a systems-thinker and a strong communicator. You can learn new systems, frameworks, and processes quickly. You solve problems methodically, and value accuracy, consistency, and fairness. You’re a strong written communicator; you can capture the essence of complex situations fast and communicate with sensitivity.
You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. You enjoy fast-paced environments where new issues can arise without notice. You think on your feet and can turn things around fast. You are comfortable building from scratch, creating structure amidst ambiguity, and leveraging experience while adapting to new situations.
You love what you do and may find yourself thinking and working at odd hours— not because you feel you have to, but because you’re excited to protect your community and create a platform that has a big impact on the world.
You have good values and care about doing the right thing. You value people with strong ethics and go out of your way to make others feel welcome. You enjoy hanging out with your teammates, are low-ego, and make the workplace more fun.
What you will do
You’ll ensure content and conversations in Clubhouse are safe. You’ll evaluate all types of content to ensure our policies are upheld and carry through enforcement actions as needed. You’ll communicate directly with users to educate, understand, and address situations with care and sensitivity. You’ll monitor content and user reports to proactively identify risks and work with the team to address them fast.
You’ll help build our trust & safety policies and processes to scale. While moderating content and managing incidents directly, you’ll work closely with our Head of Trust & Safety to develop policies and processes to ensure we continuously improve as we grow. Whether you’re establishing new user reporting flows, developing new escalation pathways, or building systems to measure community health, you’ll be amazed by the big impact you will have and the opportunities to grow with the team.
You’ll be a voice for Clubhouse users and communities. You will engage directly with Clubhouse users in a critical part of their experience, ensuring our policies, reporting procedures, and communications are clear, accessible, and effective. You’ll be a critical voice on user safety to the trust & safety team and the entire company.
You’ll shape the product and culture. Everything we build is shaped by the experiences of our user community. You will leverage your first-hand knowledge on user safety to inform product, policy, and systems development. You’ll see firsthand the impact your work has on how users engage with each other and the product. Your perspective and voice will always be heard.
You’ll be an owner. We believe in hiring amazing people and giving them as much responsibility as they can handle. Whether you’re tackling a complex trust & safety report, helping draft new policies, or proposing new safety features, we will trust your judgment, give you autonomy, and always have your back.
You’ll create something meaningful. Social products allow people to connect in ways that were never before possible. At Clubhouse, you’ll be figuring out something entirely new for the world—a positive product that brings diverse people together for deep and meaningful conversations, creates new relationships, builds empathy, entertains, and helps people develop ideas that can change their lives.
As an early team member at Clubhouse you will be a critical voice and have significant influence over the direction of the company. We will compensate you well, invest deeply in your development, and ensure this is the single best work experience of your life.
