The Role: 

Drop is looking for an experienced Office Manager to collaborate with and provide support to our People Operations Team and greater company. Reporting into our Senior Manager, People and Culture, the ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, proactive, and organized problem solver who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimum supervision and autonomy.  

This role requires someone with a passion for the start-up industry and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate should work well with others to ensure the success of the organization and physical environment are running smoothly. You will be part of a constantly growing company that values hard work but knows how to have fun. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of HR projects and help us continue building a high-performance team while keeping us organized behind the scenes.

What Kind of Challenges Will this person be working on?

    • Be a Culture Champion; Lead new employee onboarding and assist in the facilitation of company-wide meetings, events, and socials
    • Assist the HR team with the administration of HR processes & responsibilities (Recruitment, Benefits, Offboarding, H&S, DEI)
    • Act as first point of contact for all inquiries; triage issues or concerns, and escalate to the Sr. Manager as needed
    • Assist in seamless updating and maintenance of our systems, databases, records, and data collection for production of HR reports and related analysis
    • Draft company wide emails, employee change statuses, presentations, policies, and other important internal communications as required 
    • Create office management processes and implement best practices to make the office operations as efficient and business sustainable as possible; Manage WeWork memberships across North America
    • Facilities & Physical Assets Management: Maintain a safe, organized, clean and professional office while arranging necessary repairs, upkeep, and office modifications as needed; Provide proactive replenishment and maintenance of office supplies, groceries, catering, equipment, and utilities as needed
    • Handle confidential and non-routine information and facilitate communication between appropriate departments
    • Manage and maintain a budget for office-related expenses
    • Support IT team regarding stock and equipment management
    • Maintains COVID safety precautions for the office including supplies, communicating changes/updates to employees, and implementing protocols developed by local People Ops and leadership 
    • Assist with ad-hoc projects

What does this candidate bring to the table?

    • 3+ years of experience in an office management/HR position or similar role or relevant experience
    • Strategic and proactive ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner with minimal direction
    • Ability to perform duties with a high level of confidentiality and discretion and can be trusted with sensitive information
    • Outstanding organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus very strong guiding principles and ethics
    • Reliability with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
    • Strong prioritization, time, and project management skills

    • Experience at a Start-up environment
    • Energetic, driven, and able to think creatively and quickly
    • Has led onboarding and social events; event coordinator experience
    • Experience with BambooHR, League, Reflektive, Lever
