The Role: 

We're looking for a Business Operations & Strategy Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will support the growth of the business by tackling highly important and complex challenges using a broad set of skills and knowledge. You will report directly to the VP of Finance. 

You'll provide analytical insights and strategic recommendations to the team as we continue to scale. More specifically, you'll be responsible for working cross-functionally with teams across the business to drive impact to our KPIs. You'll support the leadership team on key strategic initiatives, with an opportunity to directly lead and deliver projects.

Our Business Operations & Strategy Manager is highly analytical and proactively identifies the biggest challenges to our business, leading the charge to solve these complex problems. This role is ideal for someone who is exceptionally skilled in their areas of expertise, who is eager to learn and collaborate with the talented team. You will be a culture carrier, helping define how Business Operations delivers leadership and impact to the Company.

What kinds of challenges will you be working on at Drop?

    • Drive and support cross-functional initiatives, including strategic investment and driving key operational metrics
    • Partner with stakeholders across Drop to support their business initiatives and operations in a collaborative, data-driven way
    • Work cross-functionally to engage with project partners to understand, scope and implement operational improvements or perform analysis to inform strategic decision-making
    • Exercise sound business judgment to prioritize and evaluate new initiatives and company priorities, with an eye toward long term value creation
    • Present recommendations and new insights to the leadership team
    • Prepare analysis and presentation materials for partnership pitches, board meetings, and internal projects
    • Build dashboards and reporting tools to measure progress against goals

What you bring to the table

    • 4+ years of experience in a high-performing, quantitative role (including but not limited to: management consulting, investment banking, start-up operations)
    • Experience working at or with high-growth technology companies is an asset
    • Practical business sense and a strong ability to ask the right questions and translate strategic concepts into an operational execution plan
    • A highly entrepreneurial “roll up your sleeves” mindset; excited about making an impact at a fast-growing company
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable transforming data into insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders and external partners
    • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong working relationships
    • Solid understanding of finance, strategy, and business principles (financial statements, operating models, and process best practices)
    • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
    • Desire to learn and an eagerness to tackle a broad range of projects that touch all parts of the business
