The Food R&D team is responsible for the development and commercialization of Juicero's unique raw, organic fresh-cut food products which fuel customer delight and company growth.
As a Senior Food Technologist, you will turn kitchen concepts into reality by coordinating trials, analyzing myriad of test results, identifying efficiencies and new process methods, and working cross-functionally to implement SOP's into production. Our ideal candidate will bring a proven background in fresh-cut food product development and commercialization, taking ownership of various core processes and leading others within the Food R&D team. He or she will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and excited to contribute to Juicero's mission to change the world of food for the better!

The Work:
- Lead the stage-gate process for new Juicero food products, from concept development to post-commercialization review.
- Plan and organize process trials and drive the transfer of new products from the test kitchen to the manufacturing plant.
- Identify efficiencies, yields, and process methods for product costing and manufacturing predictions at scale in a continuous improvement environment.
- Maintain documentation and ensure products are up to Juicero standards and meet regulatory/certification requirements (e.g. HACCP, SQF, QAI).
- Create SOP's and work cross-functionally to provide ongoing training and support (e.g. product, equipment, etc.) to Technical and Operations teams.
- Design, execute, and analyze new and existing experiments (e.g. food, packaging, microbiological).
- Investigate, commission, and validate new processing equipment/technologies.
- Day-to-day management and leadership of food technologists.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Food Science or a related field.
- 5 years' experience in the chilled foods industry; fresh-cut produce/juice products a major plus.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful R&D and commercialization of multiple food products at scale.
- Trained in HACCP; SQF certified a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and using Excel for data analysis.
