The Project Engineering team is responsible for the design, procurement, and installation/roll-out of all large capital (equipment & build) projects in support of Juicero's fresh-cut food manufacturing operations and growth. 

As the Manager of Plant Engineering Projects, you will coordinate vendors, contractors, department leaders, and your own engineering staff, accounting for cost control, food safety, employee health and safety, environmental controls, etc. You will display a continuous improvement strategy in line with industry best practices, to ensure capital projects are completed successfully and contribute to Juicero's manufacturing capability as a competitive advantage. Our ideal candidate will have led major capital investment projects within a large-scale, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Work:

    • Own Juicero’s manufacturing facility strategy and capital project roadmap in accordance with company growth.
    • Plan and manage the successful roll-out of seven-figure capital projects.
    • Source and design food production equipment tailored to Juicero operations needs.
    • Ensure all environment and safety standards are met and the accompanying documentation is maintained at all times.
    • Coordinate with Maintenance Engineering and other operations department leaders regarding status of work progress and issue resolution.
    • Provide equipment/facilities on-call support as escalation / back-up after hours as needed.
    • Manage Project Engineering team members; responsible for their learning and development.

The Requirements:

    • Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
    • 8 years’ experience in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.
    • 5+ years' demonstrated experience managing capital investment projects, including internal/external team members, in excess of $5MM from concept to delivery, within budgetary and time constraints for large-scale manufacturing operations.
    • Experience and knowledge in installing / repairing of refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning services in relation to operating equipment.
    • Proficient with blueprints, schematics, and AutoCAD.
    • Knowledge of HazMat, MSDS, SDS, ADA, NFPA, OSHA and related regulations.
    • Strong problem solving and ability to design custom/automated equipment installations a major plus.
