We are looking for a high-performing individual contributor to join our team as a Principal QA Analyst, working as the primary owner of the test plan and task verification process for their assigned team test plan and task verification process. This person will play a key role in testing the Live Operations of MCOC and help define test plan standards and assist in implementing tools and processes to optimize the team’s effectiveness. They work collaboratively with development partners and other QA teams to contribute to the overall quality of Kabam's games.

In this role, you can expect to be responsible for:

    • Test Plans and Task Verification:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for assigned features or teams, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
    • Define clear verification processes for tasks and ensure their execution, while providing guidance and support to junior QA team members.

    • Tool and Process Improvement:
    • Lead the identification and implementation of process improvements and tool enhancements in collaboration with the QA department, aiming to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of testing practices.
    • Assist in the implementation of new tools and process enhancements.

    • Communication and Relationship Management:
    •  Establish and maintain effective communication channels with development partners.
    •  Foster positive relationships with dependent QA teams for effective collaboration.

    • End-to-End Testing:
    • Create detailed end-to-end test plans covering all relevant processes.
    • Design program documents to support the testing process.

    • Test Plan Execution and Analysis:
    • Oversee and monitor the execution of test plans.
    • Analyze test results and recommend changes to test coverage, including automation test plans.

    • Issue Resolution and Solutions:
    • Take ownership of features and proactively identify blocking issues.
    • Leverage expertise and experience to provide guidance and support to the team in resolving challenging technical issues.

    • Coaching and Mentoring Team members:
    • Direct and mentor junior QA Analysts on best practices.
    • Share knowledge and experience with junior team members.

Your background includes:

    • 7+ years of related game testing experience in a similar capacity, preferably for mobile games
    • Technical Abilities: Advanced understanding of Game Design
    • Familiarity with both Android and Apple devices. Experience with other devices is nice to have, but not required.
    • Strong aptitude to learn quickly and effectively

$64,000 - $80,000 a year
The typical hiring range listed above is specific to candidates located in Vancouver. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you’ll have room to grow after you join!
