Magic. Lasers. Explosions. Character transformation. You love them all and have examples of many. You use timing, form, lighting and weight to bring signature looks to your work. Sound like a match?
Kabam Austin is looking for our very first VFX Artist to bring motion, energy and life to our Unreal Engine 4-based AAA mobile titles. You’ll join a small veteran team on a project currently in pre-production to craft the VFX look and construct core content libraries. You’ll own the effects creation from concept to optimization for gameplay, front end, and everything in-between.
- Experienced in look development in areas of combat-based gameplay and UI interaction
- Experienced with UE4 Niagara or equivalent real-time effects tools
- Incredibly strong portfolio that demonstrates strong animation principles
- Experience working with high-profile entertainment brands
- Stylized as well as simulated work
- Shipped a game in a Senior VFX role
Nice to have qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Maya, Rayfire, TP, Afterburn, HoudiniMotion graphics experience
