The Opportunity
Kandji is seeking a Director of Information Security to develop and implement Information Security strategy, programs, and activities for the company. Reporting to the COO, this leadership position offers the opportunity to ensure that processes, controls, and documentation are adequate to protect Kandji from existing risks, as well as from potential new threats. This is an exciting role for a high-performer with a passion for Information Security and someone who can work collaboratively with staff to execute Kandji’s Information Security program.
How You’ll Make a Difference Day-to-Day
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Information Security strategy to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets across the Kandji platform for Kandji’s customers, as well as internally for our employee base.
- Monitor emerging threats and continuously improve the company’s defenses through proactive threat management.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response plan, including forensic investigations, reporting, and recovery efforts.
- Be accountable for the incident response team in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from security breaches or threats.
- Advocate for security awareness and drive cultural change within the organization.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities for Information Security team members.
- Regularly report on the status of the organization's security posture and risks to Kandji’s executive leadership team and board via the ISMS and AIMS committee.
- Conduct calls with current and prospective Kandji customers to provide transparency and trust on Kandji’s security posture.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- 10+ years of experience in Security, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Ability to align Security with business goals.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
- Ability to communicate complex Security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience operating in a hyper-growth startup environment.
- Required to work on-site 5x a week in our Miami office (Coral Gables).
Nice to have, but not required
- In-depth experience with (1) or several of the following disciplines: security architecture, application security, infrastructure security, network security, incident response, or security operations.
- Demonstrated ability to champion a program and drive successful completion while delivering.
- Experience with Incident Response process leadership and SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and Forensics tooling.
