The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our growing Endpoint Security team, with a focus on Iru's Security products. In this role, you’ll drive the technical and organizational execution behind one of the most strategically important areas of our business. You’ll guide a team of experienced engineering managers and senior technical leads to deliver performant, reliable, and secure endpoint protection at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work cross-functionally with product, QA, ML, and data teams, while also mentoring and growing a team of talented security-focused engineers.

How You Will Make a Difference Day to Day:

    • Lead a High-Impact Team: Manage a team of engineering managers and senior ICs focused on building and scaling endpoint security products.
    • Drive Technical Execution: Ensure technical excellence, resilience, and scalability across our EDR services in a fast-paced environment.
    • Own Security Product Delivery: Oversee delivery of agent-based security products and features for the platform, including behavioral detection, telemetry, remediation, and prevention mechanisms.
    • Mentor and Develop Talent: Provide mentorship to technical leaders and invest in the growth of emerging managers and engineers.
    • Instill Operational Excellence: Build and reinforce strong engineering processes that drive reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, QA, data, and machine learning stakeholders to define and execute against shared objectives.
    • Inspire a Culture of Ownership: Foster a hands-on, mission-driven team culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 7–10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including 5+ years managing teams in B2B SaaS.
    • Direct experience building security or IT SaaS products.
    • Proven ability to manage 20+ person organizations, including engineering managers and senior ICs.
    • Strong operational chops, with a track record of driving process maturity and excellence in complex environments.
    • Hands-on approach to leadership and mentorship; comfortable rolling up sleeves to unblock teams
    • Effective communicator with experience influencing executive stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
    • Required to work on-site 5x a week in our Miami office (Coral Gables).

Nice to haves, but NOT required:

    • Domain knowledge in endpoint security, EDR, or related security technologies.
    • Background in high-scale systems or agent-based architectures.
    • Experience working in regulated industries or familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
    • Experience at high-growth companies, ideally with strong operational rigor.
    • Success building and retaining inclusive, high-performing teams in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
