Everyone is a creator. The problem, however, is that today's tools get in the way of expressing our creativity fully. Especially when it comes to video, the gap between an idea and a video is wide enough that it's hard to even start.

Our vision is to build a modern video editing platform that serves as the go-to tool for anyone creating video for Youtube, social media, or work. Being in the browser allows us to turn video editing, a traditionally heavyweight, time consuming workflow, into a joyful, collaborative, and fully-featured experience. We believe that we can use technology to augment the video editing and content creation experience, and we've already started on this path with a wide array of templates, applications of artificial intelligence, and new pipelines for exporting and video processing.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Content Manager to help guide and manage our content strategy. This full-time role will report to our Head of SEO & Growth Marketing at our San Francisco headquarters.

Compensation Range $85,000 - $120,000

You are...

    • A talented storyteller who likes writing content that creators will love.
    • Plugged in to trending topics, social media, and industry/tech news.
    • Highly organized, with great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Requirements:

    • 2-3 years of experience with writing engaging and effective content for different audiences. Prolific with strong voice and journalistic skills. Can translate complex ideas into language that's clear and relatable.
    • Strong editorial skills. Can review and critique content constructively and collaborate effectively.
    • Experience with SEO or content marketing
    • Loves technology and/or bottom-up SaaS startups
    • Highly independent and prolific: Can brainstorm and execute on content ideas without oversight or management. Has a lot of creative vision and scrappy execution skills.
    • Results-oriented: Strategic, focused on outcomes. Experimental.
    • Experience with onboarding and managing external writers is a plus.
    • Based in the Bay Area (CA)

Responsibilities:

    • Manage the content strategy and calendar, from ideation and planning to writing content.
    • Set editorial standards and process for published content.
    • Onboard and manage a team of content partners.
    • Edit and publish guest contributions to the Resources center and Blog.
    • Create content that helps creators and drives traffic to Kapwing.
    • Capitalize on popular trends and brainstorm unique ideas to attract PR and attention from creators.
    • Partner with the Brand team on content marketing campaigns, content distribution, and amplification.
