Karuna is an early-stage venture-backed digital therapeutics company. Karuna Labs builds immersive virtual reality technology designed to treat chronic pain by retraining the brain. Karuna’s evidence-based approach to chronic pain leverages physical therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive neuroscience to treat neuropathic pain conditions by resolving sensory motor incongruences and helping patients to overcome fear-avoidant behavior.

Karuna’s mission is to become a first line defense for chronic pain. We’re looking for deep generalists who are adept at building creative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary clinical team (physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical medicine and rehab physicians, psychologists, exercise physiologists) on protocol development
    • Be the voice of the chronic pain patient for safety and efficacy concerns related to the product
    • Create user stories to define different patient archetypes
    • Oversee clinical validation sessions with patients
    • Create product development roadmaps
    • Maintain the project plan and track sprint velocity
    • Plan and lead engineering sprint sessions
    • Run daily standups, performance reviews, and retrospectives 
    • Work with engineering team to translate business requirements into sprint action items
    • Meet with Chief Medical Officer and clinical team to create virtual embodiment training protocols
    • Represent Karuna Labs at conferences, meetings, and industry events
    • Lead webinars to teach providers, payers, and patients about Karuna platform
    • Lead customer success / support team
    • Lead quarterly product design sprints with design, engineering, and technical artists
    • Lead clinical validation sessions
