Karuna is an early-stage venture-backed digital therapeutics company. We build immersive virtual reality technology designed to treat chronic pain by retraining the brain. Karuna’s evidence-based approach to chronic pain leverages physical therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cognitive neuroscience to treat conditions by resolving sensory motor incongruences and helping patients to overcome fear-avoidant behavior.

Karuna’s mission is to become a first line defense for chronic pain. We’re looking for deep generalists who are adept at building creative solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications

    • 8+ years in sales organizations for healthcare companies
    • Have worked with and / or managed independent contractors
    • Have worked on at least one team that has taken a medical product to market
    • Bachelor’s degree (related masters is a plus)

Skills

    • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to translate complex science into customer-facing language
    • Ability to create sales and marketing assets with and without vendor support
    • Can manage sales, marketing, and PR simultaneously
    • Demonstrated experience with complex partnerships and various stakeholders within the healthcare market
    • Previous work recruiting and managing teams of independent sales reps
    • Expert negotiator and relationship-builder
