Mortgage Processors are responsible for gathering, reviewing and verifying loan documents including income, credit, appraisal, and title insurance. Additionally, they will be:


    • Requesting, reviewing and verifying all loan documents such as income, credit, appraisal and title insurance, to ensure complete and accurate information is contained within the file before submission to the underwriting department
    • Reviewing all file documentation; including income and asset documents, employment, application, Title Commitment, Homeowners Insurance policy, et al
    • Contacting borrowers to obtain initial loan application, and any required supporting documents identified at any time during the processing of the loan
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with the borrower, internal Keller Mortgage colleagues, and any third parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction
    • Review and clear all processing conditions set by the Underwriter and/or Quality Control
    • Forwarding documents to Keller Mortgage colleagues according to standard and established practices
    • Ensuring the appraisal is scheduled in a timely and efficient manner
    • Accurately calculating income for all types of borrowers
    • Prioritizing and monitoring daily workflow in order to ensure all loans are being worked on in accordance with the company's timeline expectations
    • Ensuring all required changes which require re-disclosure have been accurately notated and checked into Encompass according to compliance guidelines
    • Represent Keller Mortgage’s mission, vision and values with integrity and professionalism
    • Other duties as required


    • Two or more years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor
    • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and procedures as well as a working knowledge of underwriting guidelines and loan documents
    • Demonstrated advanced product knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional and other loan programs
    • Working knowledge of Federal and State guidelines, rules and regulations such as RESPA, TILA, and HMDA
    • Demonstrated advanced ability to analyze complex tax returns accurately, and calculate income for all types of borrowers
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to colleagues, borrowers, and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
    • Proven experience adhering to deadlines and expected delivery dates
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to fellow employees, customers and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
    • Demonstrated ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
    • ·         Proven ability to multi-task, and stay organized in an independent environment
      ·         Possess a passion and desire to continuously improve their style and work productivity
    • Proven experience with a paperless Loan Origination System; preferred candidates will have experience with Encompass
    • HS Diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (Finance/Accounting)
