Responsibilities

    • Oversee the activities of the Accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports (e.g. internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets)
    • Report on Company activities to assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future 
    • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, total corporate payroll tax compliance, billings, cash receipts, GL accounts, and funding service management (which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management)
    • Ensure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes 
    • Establish and maintain systems and controls, which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and create process improvements
    • Manage the transactional accounting and management reporting activities, project accounting, internal and external financial reporting, cash management, budgeting and forecasting and business administration support
    • Manage the Accounting team and hire/train new members
    • Accounting Manager will perform other duties as required
    • Accounting Manager will represent Keller Mortgage's mission, vision and values with integrity and professionalism

Qualifications

    • Ten or more years of experience in Accounting, with at least five of those years within a financial services environment
    • Three or more years of experience in forecasting, budgeting and transactional accounting practices
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to fellow employees, customers and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
    • Demonstrated ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
    • Proven experience prioritizing projects based upon business demands and multiple requests from various entities in a fast-paced, high-production, deadline driven environment
    • Proven experience adhering to deadlines and expected delivery dates
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to fellow employees, customers and external vendors in a professional, articulate and respectful manner
    • Demonstrated ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
    • Proven ability to multi-task, and stay organized in an independent environment
    • Experience with Encompass or a similar Loan Origination System
    • Experience with LoanVision or similar Accounting software
    • Accounting Manager will possess a passion and desire to continuously improve their style and work productivity  
    • HS Diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
