As a Solutions Architect in the Strategic Initiatives department at Kepler, you play a pivotal role in driving the company's mission of pioneering space connectivity through innovative technological solutions. You will explore and architect solutions that meet both technical specifications and business objectives, aligning with Kepler’s vision of expanding space communication capabilities. You will work closely with a cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement technology and business strategies that enhance our roadmap, expand product offerings, enter new markets, and build strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

    • Design and architect comprehensive solutions that expand on Kepler’s existing systems and meet the evolving needs of our clients, or that expand the client base.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and BD, to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with strategic goals.
    • Lead potential client engagement efforts to understand their business needs, propose customized solutions, and adjust architectures based on feedback.
    • Perform feasibility analysis, market analysis efforts, and develop hypotheses for the team to test for market or technology studies.
    • Conduct technical feasibility studies, risk analyses, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
    • Stay abreast of the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions that maintain Kepler’s competitive edge.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical guidance within the team to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Produce and manage documentation required for associated proposals and partnerships.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or in a role exploring an ambiguous solution space
    • Passing knowledge of the technology used in and markets supported by the aerospace/space industry and technology stacks relevant to space communications.
    • Deep understanding of system architecture, engineering fundamentals.
    • Experience in business development and program capture, including customer relationships, concept development, and proposal writing.
    • Proven experience as a self-starter, that can conceive and pitch complex projects
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create solutions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver outcomes within tight deadlines.

Bonus Points:

    • Experience in conducting cost-benefit analyses and financial modeling for technology investments.
    • Direct systems engineering budget development and analytics experience.
    • Knowledge of satellite systems and overall space based mission architectures
    • Understanding of market and competitor strengths and weaknesses.
    • Experience with structuring business or business units, particularly as a result of M&A activity, JVs, or other partnerships.
