Purpose of the Role :
As part of the FP&A Finance team the Senior Finance Business Partner (“SFBP”) provides both financial and commercial expertise to the Business Leaders they support. The SFBP is expected to help drive and take ownership of performance and optimised results in line with Keyloop’s Operating Plan and Strategy
The SFBP will have access to a team of Finance Business Partners / Analysts (“Functional Team”) that will help in delivering their overall objectives and will be responsible for recruiting and retaining the talent required
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supporting the understanding, interpreting, explaining & driving business performance in terms of expenses, labour and non-labour for all business support functions
- Owner of the financial narrative and linkage to the business narrative for the Function
- Leading financial planning, forecasting and business reviews for the Corporate Functions
- Ownership of the month end close timetable for FP&A
- Consolidate BTL and unrealised synergy reporting
- Work with Controllership to report and forecast capital expenditure
- Ownership of the non-labour tool, ensuring the most efficient use across Finance
- Working with multiple FBPs and VPs to ensure consistent Forecasting and Planning of costs across Keyloop
- Developing and maintaining models that forecast costs based on the evolution of vendor costs and FTEs
- Working closely with SVP Finance in developing automated and improved reporting, eliminating duplication of effort across the FBP teams
- Evaluating, reviewing and approving business decisions, monitoring on-going projects to ensure benefits are tracked & realized for the Function
- Development of strong interpersonal relationships with Business Controllers and wider finance team(s) to ensure they are fully aware of business aspects relevant to the Function
- Communicator & advocate for business compliance with Finance/internal processes and controls for the Function
- Leading and supporting where appropriate financial aspects of commercial negotiations with vendors
Skills & Experience
- Business / Strategic Impact
- Able to apply sound financial analysis to support decision making
- Able to model and/or critically evaluate businesses cases
- Able to plan, coordinate, and execute an efficient and effective forecasting / annual operating plan cycle looking at leading indicators
- Able to propose clear practical action steps in crafting solutions to business problems
- Able to run and maintain Keyloop wide metrics relating to FTEs and reporting deviations thereon
- Able to adopt best in class reporting capabilities using tools such as Power BI
- Able to focus on functional cost efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Ability to gain insight into leading indicators for cost overruns and work closely with the Function to remedy the same
- Leadership
- Able to clearly articulate the Roles and Responsibilities of the Functional Team including alignment across FP&A and the wide FBP teams
- Regularly monitor team performance with timely feedback and follow-up
- Manage a small team, to ensure effectiveness, consistency and best practice
- Develop team members and support them in achieving their goals
- Nature and level of contacts within/outside the organisation
- Able to clearly and regularly communicate with SVP Finance
- Work very closely with Director FP&A and the rest of the FP&A team
- Work with remote teams
- Close co-ordination with other finance functions such as Procurement (addressing cost control/reduction)
