Purpose of the Role
The Head of Data Products leads the data and analytics product portfolio within VEGA, our AI powered agentic intelligence solution. You will drive the strategic vision for how automotive retailers and manufacturers leverage data solutions to transform their business operations. This senior leadership role defines the long-term data product strategy, sets priorities across data teams, and ensures organisational alignment between business intelligence, analytics capabilities, and customer outcomes. You will also foster a high-performing culture, champion customer and market needs, and drive sustainable business growth through innovative product leadership.
Responsibilities
Sitting within the Operate domain, the Head of Data Products will be responsible for managing the Keyloop data intelligence products portfolio for automotive retail. Our flagship agentic solution is called VEGA.
Lead the data product function across the analytics portfolio, driving end-to-end strategy for data collection, processing, visualization, and insights delivery to automotive retailers
Define and articulate the long-term product vision and investment strategy in line with company goals, customer outcomes, and shareholder value.
Build, scale, and inspire a high-performing data product organization, including Product Managers and Product Owners; in addition, take matrix responsibility for Data Scientists, Analysts, Analytics Engineers, and UX specialists focused on data experiences.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Data Platform teams, and automotive industry stakeholders to ensure seamless data product delivery.
Oversee investment allocation across Build, Grow, Protect, and Maintain categories, ensuring focus and ROI.
Influence company-wide decisions with insights from market dynamics, customer needs, internal capability assessments and emerging data technologies.
Represent the product function at senior leadership forums, contributing to corporate strategy and innovation priorities.
Champion a data-first, customer-centric culture that transforms how Keyloop and automotive retailers understand and optimise their business performance through actionable insights
Skills, know-how and experience
Must Have:
Proven success leading and mentoring Product Managers and Product Owners focused on data products, analytics platforms, or business intelligence solutions.
Demonstrated experience managing data and analytics product portfolios in Agile/SAFe environments, with deep understanding of data product lifecycle management.
Significant experience leading global large-scale product portfolios.
Proven success in executive-level strategic planning, including board communication on data initiatives, analytics ROI, and data-driven business transformation priorities.
Deep expertise in data product performance management: user adoption metrics, data quality KPIs, time-to-insight, and ROI measurement.
Comprehensive understanding of SaaS and the modern data stack, including cloud data platforms, real-time analytics, self-service BI tools, embedded analytics, and data product architectures
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive storytelling skills.
Preferred:
Advanced certifications in data and analytics or business leadership.
Experience in deploying ThoughtSpot solutions.
Background in machine learning product development, predictive analytics, or AI-powered business intelligence solutions.
Knowledge of the automotive retail industry, including understanding of dealership operations, inventory management, customer lifecycle, and automotive data sources; or an equivalently complex industry.
Recognised thought leader in the data and analytics space with strong internal and external influence in data product communities.
Experience operating in private equity or high-growth SaaS environments.
Track record of leading successful data product transformations or building enterprise-scale analytics platforms from the ground up.
