Requirements
- Strong Accounting Operations LeadershipOwn the accounting function end-to-end, ensuring clean financials and a smooth month-end close without the typical bottlenecks that slow things down.
- Business Partner MentalityWork closely with the STL General Manager and PE Sponsor to drive business results, providing strategic financial guidance to enhance operations and overall financial performance.
- Proven Team Development SkillsLead and mentor a lean or growing accounting team, elevating process maturity and accuracy while building out capabilities to support the business.
Responsibilities
- Own Accounting Operations: Take full ownership of accounting ops including AP, AR, balance sheet, and revenue to ensure the numbers driving business management are spot on.
- Champion & Leader for Growth: Partner closely with the GM as a strategic finance leader, proactively spotting and solving for growth opportunities that move the needle.
- Month-End Close and Financial Reporting: Run a tight month-end close within a 5-day window, review key entries and reconciliations, and analyze financials to guide business decisions.
- Analysis and Budgeting: Lead margin, cash flow, and budget vs actual analysis; own the annual budget process and drive actionable strategies to boost financial and operational results.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Build and maintain solid accounting processes and controls; manage the audit relationship to ensure GAAP compliance and smooth audit cycles.
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor the accounting team with a hands-on, collaborative approach; champion process improvements and tech adoption to elevate the function.
