Lead accounting ops for a fast-growing industrial automation platform backed by a high-end brand PE sponsor. This Controller role offers the opportunity to drive GAAP transformation at the platform-level with accelerated M&A and foundational team-build for a $25M revenue business pursuing 5x growth.

Requirements
- Project-Based Accounting Expertise: Sharp, proactive approach to PoC/WIP accounting with rigor and scalable standardization to support bolt-on acquisitions in a growing organization.
- High-Motor M&A Integration Experience: Hands-on managing purchase price accounting, transitioning acquired entities from cash to accrual, and building consistent financial infrastructure post-close in a high-volume PE environment.
- NetSuite & Process-Oriented Build Experience: Prior exposure to NetSuite is a strong plus, supporting ongoing automation and streamlining of accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Own Accounting Ops: Professionalize accounting operations and the financial statement build process to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and deliver executive-level insights.
- Lead PoC / Project Accounting Architecture: Evaluate current operations, identify process improvements, and implement elevated standards to transition from cash to accrual accounting, including PoC accounting.
- Support M&A Valuation, Diligence & Integration: Drive executive projects related to M&A targets, focusing on valuation, deal structuring, purchase price accounting, and post-acquisition integration.
- Manage Audit / Tax Process: Collaborate with third-party advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Build Multi-Entity Accounting Ops Platform: Develop a tiered accounting operation supporting national and regional teams across multiple entities, standardizing accounting controls and scalable processes to fuel accelerated growth.
