Your Opportunity
We’re looking for a creative web & mobile app designer to join our product design team. With a cool mix of collaboration and autonomy, this is an exciting opportunity for an established designer looking to focus his/her talents on a booming industry and help facilitate the creation of killer user experiences. Working closely with the product design manager, through an iterative process, this role’s primary focus will be creating UI/UX designs and assets as well as assist with product research initiatives and documentation. This role will collaborate with the product, technology, and business teams to help establish and advance the best user experiences for Kinduct’s clientele. This is a dynamic and adaptive position that allows for personal growth and support of professional interests. If you are creative and curious by nature with a keen eye for visual design, appreciate dynamic challenges, enjoy a good laugh (or sometimes a good cry), and sport a thoughtful design portfolio, this role is for you! 

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with product, development, and business teams to define direction and requirements
    • Work closely with the product team to prepare assets such as personas, user-flows, experience maps, and scenarios
    • Facilitate an iterative design process, creating storyboards, user-flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
    • Prepare design specifications & production assets for the development team
    • Establish & maintain UI/UX documentation including research findings, design standards and guidelines
    • Facilitate ongoing research by way of UX methods (testing, interviewing), analytical data, and monitoring of industry trends
    • Advocate for the user/consumer and promote best practices throughout the development process
    • Present designs and findings to stakeholders
    • Assist with marketing and sales presentation objectives

Skills:

    • 2+ years of directly related experience (designing web & mobile apps) or a combination of graphic design and web design/development background will be considered
    • Excellent visual design sense and understanding of user experience, web design and development processes, methods, and principles (including typography and colour theory)
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to design intently for target audiences and clear user experiences with exceptional attention to creativity and quality
    • Ability to clearly communicate, both in writing and orally
    • Ability to synthesize research and effectively communicate insights
    • Ability to facilitate an iterative design process
    • Familiar with trendy UI guidelines such as Material and Human Interface
    • Familiar with WCAG standards is considered an asset
    • Experience with Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset
    • Experience with HTML, CSS & JS is considered an asset
    • Experience with motion and/or interaction design is considered an asset
    • Experience with copywriting is considered an asset
    • Experience with analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, HotJar) is considered an asset
