San Francisco
Product
Full-time
Kinsa is looking for a Sr. Product Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an opportunity to own and bring to life new features & products that have meaningful impact and advance an important social mission. You have the chance to work on products that are the first of their kind and truly be on the front lines of product innovation for something that actually matters. We're looking for someone to drive the strategy and day-to-day execution for a suite of mobile app features that help parents keep their families healthier, and which represent a primary engine of growth for the company.

Kinsa was founded with a mission to stop illness from spreading by knowing where and when it starts. We’ve done this by transforming the first device you grab when sickness strikes - the thermometer - into a sensor to detect when and where illness is rising, and communicate with those who have just fallen ill. Our connected products help people and communities stay healthy while advancing a broader mission: to create a real time map of human health in order to track — and stop — the spread of disease. See our products in action here.

What you'll do:

    • set the vision and strategy for our consumer mobile applications
    • think holistically about consumer, platform, and data products to meet the needs of our users, our business goals, and the company’s mission
    • own end-to-end feature development, from the initial ideation process to definition of requirements to managing on-time delivery
    • coordinate, inspire, and drive a diverse set of stakeholders towards a common goal
    • conducting user research and usability testing
    • identify, scope and advocate for new opportunities for the product and business
    • write detailed user stories and define basic technical requirements
    • jump in wherever needed

You have:

    • 4+ years Product Management experience, with a strong focus on consumer mobile products (iOS/Android)
    • a user-centric approach to product management - you are insatiably curious about what drives people
    • proven delivery of native mobile products
    • prior startup experience
    • an ability to prioritize against user and business needs in a rapidly changing environment
    • familiarity with agile software development practices
    • excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • a detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple projects & priorities
    • familiarity with a diverse range of user research and testing methods, and a keen intuition for when and how to apply them
    • enthusiasm, positivity, & humility
    • a strong level of independence and efficiency
    • a computer science or software engineering background (preferred)
    • experience mentoring other product managers (preferred)

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
