Within 3 months you will:

    • Get to know your talented teammates in Production, and the Kitty Hawk culture
    • Learn how the warehouse is currently organized, and how to maintain it
    • Use parts lists to kit parts for the next days builds
    • Receive, unbox, & count components ensuring they match the purchase order
    • Get familiar with Odoo ERP system with on the job training and e-learning

Within 6 months you will:

    • Brush-up on your forklift driving by completing Kitty Hawk forklift training
    • Learn how to inspect parts at incoming inspection, working directly with the engineers who designed them
    • Take responsibility for accurate inventory of the entire warehouse, ensuring material is ready when it’s needed
    • Package and ship all outbound packages
    • Box-up and ship completed vehicles for transport to test sites

Within 12 months you will:

    • Become a part of the design change process, by removing old parts from the warehouse independently
    • Begin communicating directly with vendors to update lead times, and track packages
    • Find new, innovative ways to make parts more accessible, at less cost
    • Study usage to reduce carried inventory costs

Responsibilities:

    • Solely responsible for keeping the 400+ part warehouse organized, and stocked with parts for the Flyer production and engineering team
    • Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders in Odoo ERP
    • Periodically inspect parts against engineering criteria
    • Keep warehouse logically organized, and tidy
    • Lift, arrange, stack, palletize, move supplies, boxes, furniture, equipment, etc
    • Pick and kit parts for Production, ensuring the correct part is selected
    • Maintain accurate inventory in the warehouse
    • Create procurement requests as inventory levels deplete
    • Monitor emails, and shipment tracking information to update expected arrival time
    • Package and ship parcels as needed, use PC to print shipping labels

Basic Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED
    • Punctuality, shift: 6a to 2:30p, M-F
    • Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
    • Standing, climbing ladders, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are a part of this role

Preferred skills and experience:

    • Innate attention to detail and passion for organization
    • Comfortable using PC and iPad
    • Experience driving a forklift, and operating a cardboard bailer
    • Hobbies in aviation, carpentry, and/or making-things
