As a Systems Administrator at Kitware, you will play a vital role on the Systems Administration team, working closely with teammates in supporting critical infrastructure used by Kitware's research and development engineers and support staff across a diverse range of projects.

In This Position You Will:

    • Support end-user hardware and software (Windows, Linux, macOS)
    • Participate in the support of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows server infrastructure
    • Assist in administering device management systems (Active Directory, JAMF, Puppet)
    • Provide support for virtual infrastructure (VMware), cloud-computing services (AWS), and various cloud service providers
    • Maintain backup infrastructure (Veeam)
    • Configure networking, including firewalls, wireless networks, VPN tunnels, and VLANs
    • Make recommendations on new system purchases (end-user and infrastructure)
    • Maintain documentation in support of new technologies and applications

Required Qualifications:

    • Due to contractual requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, along with the willingness and ability to obtain, use, and maintain a security clearance
    • Bachelor's or associate's degree in an IT-related field, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent amount of education and experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Linux system administration and Active Directory management
    • Experience working alongside software development teams
    • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks
$80,000 - $100,000 a year
