Kiva Confections (www.kivaconfections.com) is a world-class cannabis-infused edibles company in California, the largest cannabis market in the world. Kiva's line includes Kiva Chocolate Bars, Terra Bites, Petra Mints, Lost Farms Gummies & Chews, and Camino Gummies. Our products are crafted from premium ingredients and thoughtfully combined with California cannabis. Since our beginning in 2010, our goal has been to create confections that redefine what a cannabis confection ought to be. By applying art and science, we ensure a deliciously consistent experience.

We have high-reaching growth plans as the legal market and consumer adoption expand. Key growth initiatives include ambitious platform innovation, outstanding marketing, geographic expansion, strategic partnerships, and more. We are resourced for this spectacular growth and looking for great people to help take us to the next level.

As Kiva’s Senior Manager, Forecasting and Analytics, you will be responsible for delivering the most accurate possible forecast across our markets through the use of data and deep partnerships with sales, marketing, finance, and operations.  Although Cannabis doesn’t yet have a Nielsen or IRI, Kiva has some of the most sophisticated data in the industry and we are looking for the right candidate to put it into action. If integrating into the business and studying key industry drivers like category growth, price compression, competitive activity, and cannibalization rates is interesting, this job is for you.

This position reports to the VP of Information Systems and will partner with leaders from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

As Kiva's Senior Manager, Forecasting and Analytics you will:

    • Own our quarterly financial forecasts for all markets
    • Own our monthly SKU-Level demand plans for a subset of markets
    • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that their knowledge and feedback is incorporated into the forecasts
    • Partner with the Data team to build supporting tools and analytics to support the forecasting process
    • Help to organize and orchestrate the data flows necessary to run a successful forecasting exercise, for example product launch dates and key assumptions
    • Identify the key business drivers to our sales and ensure those are incorporated into the forecast and monitored continuously

What we're looking for in the ideal candidate:

    • 3-5 years in a forecasting role where you worked closely with sales
    • Deep understanding of forecasting and the macro and micro level variables that contribute to forecast development and accuracy
    • Experience collaborating with data teams to build the data pipelines needed for a forecasting model
    • Strong business background in consumer goods in both established and startup companies
    • A blend of large company and startup experience preferred
    • Proficiency with using data, relational databases, and BI tools
    • Familiarity with SQL and programming languages like R and Python is a major plus
    • Ability to present complex details in a simple way (including spoken, spreadsheets, or slides)
    • Cannabis experience is a plus but not required. Genuine interest is more important.
    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Data, or Economics is a plus
$160,000 - $175,000 a year
Please note, we consider a number of factors such as internal pay parity, relevant experience/skills, geographic location, etc.
