We are looking for a Marketing Manager to lead all marketing efforts outside of California. Known internally as Geo Markets, Kiva has a presence in 6 states outside of California and plans to enter more markets over the next year, we need someone who can take the successful programs running in California and translate them to these other markets.

In addition, we need a rock star organizer who can keep our timelines straight, and track versions of marketing assets like a hawk. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will work closely with cross functional partners both internally and with our state-partners to deliver winning marketing programs that continue to build Kiva into a nationally recognized cannabis brand. 

As a Marketing Manager, you'll...

    • Spearhead out-of-state marketing efforts within the Kiva marketing team 
    • Work with Geo General Manager to understand each market and develop marketing programs to support initiatives in each state
    • Leverage existing Kiva programs, promotional assets, and campaigns to build state-specific marketing plans
    • Work with internal Designer & Marketing Communications Manager to execute marketing programs for Geo states
    • Liaise with state partners to deliver assets and route approvals 
    • Manage and track all Geo Marketing projects in Asana, Brandfolder, and ManageArtworks
    • Oversee and manage packaging updates for all out-of-state partners- work with Designer to update and deliver packaging files according to state guidelines, oversee approval process with cross functional partners, and send final approved packaging to printer
    • Create swag for CA & Geo states, identifying opportunities to win in store and with consumers, source vendors, and working with Designer to create premium designs
    • Responsible for keeping assets for Geo and CA organized in Kiva’s digital asset management tool
    • Monitor competitive landscape in Geo states and make actionable recommendations to Marketing team and GM for how to adjust programs or create new ones

What you'll need...

    • B.A. or B.S. required, marketing or business emphasis strongly preferred
    • Must have 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, project management, or agency role
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills and a tenacity for getting things done
