In the Search & Compare organization, you will work with several highly experienced software engineers focusing on building the world's favorite way to shop. Challenges include:
- Handling hundreds of millions of offer updates daily
- Creating the world's most comprehensive and searchable structured product catalog
- Developing features for our consumers and merchants
We use state-of-the-art technology to build an experience used by millions of consumers every month. Our code base evolves constantly, and hundreds of merge requests are pushed into production weekly
Minimum qualifications
- 5 years of experience with software development in Java (version 8 or higher) and related frameworks, such as Spring
- Experience in event-oriented message frameworks such as Kafka or similar
- Experience in building REST APIs
- Experience in delivering well-tested, maintainable, and functioning code
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in NoSQLDatabases such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.
- Knowledge of microservice-oriented architecture
Responsibilities
- As a Java Software Engineer, you will work within a specific problem space critical to Klarna’s current needs where you will design, develop and deploy backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latency
- Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile, and cross-functional teams
- Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers on a massive scale
- Be part of a team that will take full operational responsibility for the services that you own, and potentially take part in an on-call rotation
- Share your knowledge and build creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices
