Role Description and Expectations
The Art Supervisor is responsible for generating ideas, creating concepts for design and layout materials from draft stage through to finished product with their copy partner; working closely with Creative and Client Service teams to ensure adherence to client’s marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines. They will also supervise the work of junior creatives on their projects. In this role, the Art Supervisor must have a solid understanding of Klick Health departmental procedures such as routing, print production, protocols, usage rights of stock, images for layout, as well as other internal procedures and solutions practiced by our creative craft. 

Key Accountabilities

    • Solid understanding of client’s marketplace and can evaluate work in light of current marketing environment commercial awareness
    • Client facing experience
    • Experience designing and concepting directed to HCP 
    • Execute and direct creative that encompasses all media across print, video, 3D, interactive and social
    • Reviews all materials for consistency in layout guidelines and all branding elements
    • Works closely with other crafts (CS/PM/Strategy) to ensure smooth flow of jobs to meet deadlines/client's business needs
    • Own jobs, beginning to end with minimal supervision
    • Manages and mentors direct reports; coaches, challenges, and provides opportunities for growth
    • Follows up on set expectations, and provides coaching and guidance when standards are not being met
    • Maintains awareness of budget requirements and limits; alerts Client Service in advance when work exceeds budget and obtain appropriate approvals to follow through
    • Management of robust work streams. Develops strong relationships with all cross discipline internal teams
    • Has a solid client relationship; actively leads interactions with clients and forges bonds with stakeholders
    • Continuously stay current to marketing trends and demonstrate strong design ability that includes unique design style, typography, imagery, and technology

Key Requirements

    • Experience working with clients in the life sciences industry
    • Agency setting knowledge and experience
    • Must be able to demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Exhibits sound judgment and decisive problem solving ability
    • Ability to work well within a team setting
    • Ability to build client rapport and trust
    • Established presentation skills Managerial skills
    • Computer proficiency; solid knowledge of design programs (Figma & Adobe Creative Suite)

Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Visual Communications, Graphic Design or related discipline preferred

Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in marketing/advertising business experience preferred  
    • Design & Art Direction background
