Benefits and Payroll Administrator 

With all of our new hires and recent business wins coming our way, our finance team needs additional support to help keep up with new demands. We’re looking to hire a Payroll and Benefits Administrator who can join in and provide support to our whole team. The right person for the job will be up for a good challenge, will be looking for an opportunity to grow their skill set, and will be confident in their ability to work quickly without missing little details along the way. The role will mainly be responsible for the following: 

Responsibilities:

    • Accurately and efficiently assist with administering the full-cycle payroll process for company-wide (Canadian and US payroll) employees through ADP Workforce Now, while also ensuring compliance with governmental regulations. 
    • Prepare employment offers, raise/promotion, bonus, and termination letters
    • Maintain payroll reports and raise pool calculations
    • Assist in process payroll adjustments, deductions, change in compensation, new hires, and terminations
    • Assist in payroll related entries for leave of absence, maternity leave, unpaid payroll adjustments 
    • Provide customer service to all employees regarding all payroll inquiries, researching and troubleshooting all related issues
    • Administering US employee benefits plans, including health insurance, retirement 401k program, COBRA, LOAs, LTD/LIFE, and other forms of incentives and compensation as required by our in-house regulations and legal requirements
    • Administering CAD employee benefits plans, including health insurance, RRSP/DPSP and other group benefit programsProcess all employee Benefits enrolments and terminations accurately  
    • Administer disability programs (STD and LTD) and facilitate Return to Work process for all employee leave of absences
    • Prepare maternity and parental leave top-up calculationsProvide new employees with on-boarding sessions explaining our benefits and assist with enrollment and fulfillment procedures
    • Monthly reconciliation of all benefit programs, reporting and special projects
    • Provide ongoing support for all benefits related inquiries from employees 
    • Maintain employee vacation entitlementPreparation of employment contracts
    • Managing employee parking and car allowance and ensuring taxable benefits are set up accurately Support Operations and Finance team in relation to benefits functions when required Maintain confidentiality of personal files and payroll information
    • Other administrative duties as assigned 

Required Skills and Experience:

    • University Degree2-4 years of experience preferably with a medium-sized private company with a focus in payroll and benefits administrationConfidentiality and professionalism
    • Extremely detailed orientedAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize work
    • Excellent organization & communication skills (verbal & written)
