The Facilities Technician will perform routine building maintenance, installation, and repairs to ensure the
facilities are safe, clean, and available for use. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades with experience in
HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial buildings.

Job Duties:

    • Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance of Puritan facilities, including but not limited to
    • carpentry, snow removal, landscaping, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work.
    • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment;
    • identifies more complex maintenance needs and effectively communicates with outside contractors as
    • needed.
    • Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and resolves hazardous conditions.
    • Follows safe working practices and complies with building codes.
    • Performs custodial tasks, keeps building and grounds clean and attractive.
    • Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records within authorized budget.
    • Maintains records and logs of daily activities.


    • High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of hands on experience troubleshooting and repairing systems.
    • Clean driving record.
    • Knowledge and use of basic power tools.
    • Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective
    • working relationships.
    • Knowledge and understanding of Building Management Systems used to control environmental systems.
    • Knowledge of emergency plans.
    • Experience working in a company operating under ISO, FDA, or similar quality systems or regulations.
