ServiceMaster Fire & Water Restoration is seeking a Restoration Project Estimator, to be based in Auburn, Maine. This is a career opportunity helping to solve problems for Mainers during some of their most difficult times.   

Requirements of the Restoration Project Estimator:

    • Previous experience with insurance restoration and/or construction
    • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
    • Ability to commute to Auburn each workday and use a company vehicle to travel to work sites (work is 50/50 office-based & in the field)
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects while prioritizing customer service and deadlines; attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills are a must!
    • Technology skills using various software, tablets, laptops, phones, etc
    • Effective written and verbal communication, as well as strong business acumen
    • On-call rotation for 1 week per month (managed from home)
    • Restoration industry certifications are preferred, but not required

Responsibilities of the Restoration Project Estimator:

    • Reports to office and work site as determined by work orders; ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available as needed for jobs
    • Monitors active residential and commercial jobs for quality and budget control
    • Creates jobs estimates, maintains project records (personnel and resources), documents loss through clear and descriptive photos, communicates conversations and key information in software notes
    • Maintains contact with adjusters and customers in person, over the phone, and virtually to explain processes, resolve issues, and answer questions
    • Performs quality assurance inspections, ensures on-site safety, and prepares documentation and pictures to ensure insurance reimbursement
