Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc is seeking a Laboratory Laundry Assistant, to be based in their Saco location.   

Requirements of the Laboratory Laundry Assistant :

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
    • Must be a nonsmoker due to product contamination prevention requirements 
    • Lab or Hospital cleaning/linen/dishwashing experience preferred, but not required 
    • Able to accurately perform tasks per SOPs quickly but with attention to detail. (Position does require working with related cleaning chemistries within the various areas 
    • Experience with GMP or ISO quality system industrial environment is a bonus 
    • Strong work ethic, reliable and team player 
    • work standing for extended periods, lift approximately 50 lbs. and able to carry items up to 25 lbs. with frequency. 
    • Comfortable with gowning and working in environmentally controlled areas 
    • Have the ability to transport into the laboratory’s materials weighing up to 200lbs using carts (pushing/pulling while holding doors open) 
    • Ability to visually inspect materials

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Laundry Assistant:

    • Launders and inspects Laboratory coats following standard procedures 
    • Pickup and delivery of glassware, linen and PPE, for cleaning or disposal    by making rounds of laboratory spaces 
    • Assists with cleaning, chemically treating autoclaving glassware as needed 
    • Assists various team with routing cleaning as assigned following aseptic techniques prescribed in SOP’s 
    • May assist with routine particle counts of lab spaces. 
    • Fullgowning with hair net, safety glasses, mask, gloves, booties and lab coatrequired within the labs for protection of the products.  
    • Follows protocols based on Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP), ISO standards incorporated into MMQCI’s quality systems.
