Recruiting and Onboarding Manager

Synergent is seeking a Recruiting and Onboarding Manager to be responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of talent acquisition and new hire integration. This role leads full-cycle recruitment efforts and manages the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for all new employees. 

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; SHRM-CP, PHRpreferred. 
    • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years focused on recruitment and onboarding; experience in managing training systems preferred. 
    • Strong knowledge of employment law, recruiting best practices, and onboarding methodologies. 
    • Experience implementing and managing an LMS and recruiting module and developing structured training programs. 
    • Proficiency in ATS, HRIS, and MS Office applications. 
    • Ability to work onsite in Westbrook, Maine.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment for all levels of the organization, from sourcing and screening to selection and offer negotiation, ensuring a timely and effective hiring process. 
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and align hiring practices with strategic goals and organizational values. 
    • Develop and sustain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies, career fairs, networking, and partnerships to support current and future hiring needs. 
    • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, delivering a consistent and engaging new hire experience that accelerates integration, engagement, and retention. 
    • Implement and manage the recruiting module and Learning Management System (LMS) and design scalable training programs that support onboarding, compliance, and professional development. 
    • Continuously improve orientation and training materials, ensuring alignment with culture, role expectations, and performance readiness from day one. 
    • Monitor and analyze recruitment and onboarding metrics to identify trends and optimize practices. 
    • Ensure full compliance with employment regulations, internal policies, and best practices across all recruiting, onboarding, and training activities. 
    • Coach hiring managers on inclusive, compliant interviewing techniques and serve as a trusted partner in the selection and onboarding process. 
    • Promote a positive, high-quality candidate and employee experience that reflects the organization’s culture and supports long-term employee success. 
$68,000 - $90,000 a year
