Maine (remote/hybrid position; however, must live in Maine or be in the process of relocating to Maine)
Maine Connectivity Authority is seeking a Finance & Operations Director, who will provide leadership and expertise for MCA’s financial and operations management, with the primary responsibility of planning, directing, and coordinating all financial and operational activities of the organization. The Finance & Operations Director will be a vital member of the leadership team providing financial and operational guidance to the President, senior management, Board of Directors, funding partners and stakeholders.   The Finance & Operations Director will oversee and manage MCA’s Finance & Operations team as well as IT & Data Systems.

Requirements of the Finance & Operations Director:

    • CPA/MBA or equivalent plus substantial related experience.
    • Experience in strategic operations planning; financial analysis, budgeting and reporting.
    • Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics and reporting.
    • Experience managing a variety of complex funding sources (including federal) in non-profit and/or for-profit environments.
    • Familiarity with private and public finance institutions and programs.
    • Strong project development and management skills.
    • Capacity to work collaboratively, interacting with a cross discipline leadership team, department heads, board, board committees and funding partners to achieve capital funding, deployment and risk management objectives. 

Benefits of the Job:

    • Annual pay in the range of $140,000 - $160,000

Responsibilities of the Finance & Operations Director:

    • Oversee the design, implementation and continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes and controls.
    • Provide overall direction for asset management and resource allocation including cash management and capital allocation, expense management, and annual budget processes.
    • Oversee audit and risk management.
    • Operational responsibilities including oversight of IT and HR and other operational systems/departments.
    • Work closely with leadership and program leads to plan, identify and procure resources and develop and maintain relationships with key partners, vendors and funders.
