Knix is in search of a Field Operations Manager to ensure seamless operations for our retail stores across North America. This role entails managing store productivity, compliance and non-sell costs related to field activities, and supporting labour needs to comply with regulations. Additionally, the Field Operations Manager will oversee loss prevention, investigations, facilities management, new store openings, vendor interfaces, in-store installations, operations compliance, inventory compliance, and liaise with sales leaders on joint executions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in retail operations management, with an overall commitment to creating efficient and high performing stores. The Field Operations Manager will play a key role in enabling Retail Sales, Profitability and KPIs (Conversion, AOV, Payroll management, Customer score/NPS, Turnover/Retention).

Responsibilities

    • Lead the store operations, ensuring the execution of all operational processes according to company standards.
    • Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving, and returning merchandise, and conduct cycle counting to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
    • Project Manage and own, with extreme efficiency, all new store openings for the business.  Liaising with the right cross-functional and external teams leading up to and after the grand opening.
    • Manage the loss prevention and investigations for all stores, partnering with internal teams such as People Operations, Merchandising, and Supply Chain.
    • Support visual merchandising concepts and on-stage visuals, ensuring they meet company standards.
    • Manage supply inventory, maintaining appropriate budgets and quantities of supplies, testers, and samples.
    • Participate in performance management for store teams, providing timely feedback for improvement and development.
    • Act as the Manager on Duty within the store regularly, engaging with Associates and clients on the sales floor. Participate regularly in all store functions to personally ensure the client experience is being achieved when present.
    • Develop budget strategies by demonstrating a strong understanding of the store's sales performance, staffing, payroll, and other controllable expenses.
    • Organize and support IRL events at regional stores and ambassador teams to help bolster customer engagement and revenue.
    • Manage in-house and/or third-party cleaning crews, providing feedback, coaching, and escalation as necessary to maintain agreed-upon standards.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Operations Management.
    • 5+ years of experience in leading Retail Operations, in a multi-unit environment.  Ideally in the Apparel or Lifestyle space.
    • Several years of experience in business operations management, preferably in a field-related capacity.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
    • Proven experience in performance management, including setting goals, providing feedback, and evaluating employee performance.
    • Proficiency in standard business software, including Microsoft Outlook, for effective communication and organization.
